How do I drive to The Cannery Lodge from the south? (Ninilchick/Homer)
Drive north on the Sterling Highway, on some maps the highway may be called AK-1 N. Drive past the Kasilof Mercantile and turn onto Kalifornsky Beach Road. Continue traveling up the inlet about 13 miles until you reach Cannery Road. Turn onto Cannery Road for about one mile until it splits into Bowpicker Lane. Turn right on Bowpicker Lane and continue to The Cannery Lodge gates.
How do I drive to The Cannery Lodge from the north? (Anchorage)
Travel south on the Seward Highway, on some maps the highway may be called AK-1 S. Continue until you reach the Sterling Highway cut-off and take a slight right to keep on AK-1 S or the Sterling Highway. Continue about 58 miles from the cut-off and turn on Kalifornsky Beach Road (right after you cross the Kenai River and pass the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center). Drive about eight miles on Kalifornsky Beach Road before turning onto Cannery Road. Drive on Cannery Road for one mile until it splits into Bowpicker Lane. Turn right on Bowpicker Lane and continue to The Cannery Lodge gates.
Can you pick me up from the airport?
Of course! The Cannery Lodge is just a 10-minute drive from the Kenai airport. We are happy to arrange for a shuttle to pick you up when you arrive and drop you off when it’s time to depart. Give us a call!
What if the gate is closed when I arrive?
For the privacy of our visitors, our gate remains locked at all times. You have been provided with an access code in your booking confirmation. Please call us if you have any issues.
Where can I eat during my stay?
Our in-house chefs can cater to all your private event dining needs. From crowd-pleasing barbeque to tablecloth worthy fine dining, we’ll work with you to create a custom menu. For other meals, choose from one of the many great establishments in Kenai. Additionally, a number of our queen rooms and the Apartment are equipped with a kitchen so you can prepare your own food as well.
Is The Cannery Lodge child friendly?
While we do our best to accommodate every visitor, our property is not especially suited for children. There are gas fireplaces in some rooms, and an outdoor fire pit that could be dangerous for young children. Additionally, The Cannery sits on the edge of the Kenai River, which can present certain dangers for unsupervised little ones.
What time is check-in/check-out?
You may check in after 3 p.m. If you need to set up an early or late check-in, please contact us at least 24 hours before your planned arrival time so we can arrange it. Check in at the front desk in The Cannery Lodge building on the grounds. Checkout is at 11 a.m. Please drop your room key off at the front desk before you leave.
